We know, it happens to the best of us. Sometimes you just forget your Password. Luckily, UCM makes it easy to reset your Password all on your own. As long as you have your Company Name & Username, there are only a few steps you need to take.
Note: If you have also forgotten your Username, or your browser no longer remembers your Company Name and you’ve forgotten that as well, you can find that information in the email you received when you were first granted access to the system. If you no longer have that email, please contact UCM Support at email@example.com. Please include your Full Name and what Company you work for so we can assist you faster.
The first step would be to select the Forgot Password link located right next to the Login icon.
Next, you’ll be taken to a page that already has your Company Name and Username completed, and you just have to select Submit.
The link below (A) will allow you to view a list of all your Internal System Administrators and their email addresses. This can be helpful if you feel like the email address that is currently linked to your UCM account is no longer active and you won’t be able to receive the Password reset. Your Admins will be able to update your profile and push out a manual Password Reset.
Once you select Submit, you’ll then get a green confirmation message, and you can click the link below to go back to the Login Screen.
Go ahead and check your email now, and you should have received an email like the one below with a link that will take you to a page where you can Reset your Password.
Now, simply enter in a new Password and Confirm it. If you don’t meet the criteria of your organization’s password settings, or if you happened to try to use your old password, you’ll receive the message in yellow.
After you Reset your Password, you’ll receive a confirmation message, and you’re immediately logged into the system.
Getting Locked Out
UCM has a limit of five (5) incorrect login attempts before your account is locked and will need to be reset by an administrator.
After your 3rd failed attempt, you’ll receive this message below in red which directs you to the Forgot Password link below, and warns you that you are close to getting Locked-Out.
If you continue trying to log in, after two (2) more attempts, you’ll receive the message that your Account has been Disabled, and you need to Contact you local UCM Administrator. You can find a list of those Admins, by clicking the Show “ “ Administrators. Let them know that you have been locked out of the system, and they’ll be able to send you a Password Reset link.
